The President's Photographer

This film follows official presidential photographer Pete Souza as he flies aboard Air Force One and captures moments in the Oval Office with President Obama. (National Geographic/PBS)

It was such a privilege to work on this film, shot during President Obama's first year in office. Shadowing his official photographer, Pete Souza, we were given much better access than the usual press. Filming inside the Oval Office, flying aboard Air Force One, and racing around in motorcades were all great thrills, but one of the most memorable experiences was when the president and the first lady invited our little film crew to a private screening of the completed film inside the White House theater.
